ADVANCES FUNCTIONAL POLYMERS FOR MEDECINE
16 mai - 18 mai
The Advanced Functional Polymers for Medicine (AFPM) 2018 conference will be held in Montpellier, France from May 16th to May 18th, 2018. The conference venue is the ‘Maison des Étudiants “Aimé Schoenig”’ located close to Montpellier’s historical city centre.
The purpose of the series of AFPM conferences is to strengthen the interactions within the community of chemists, material engineers, physicists, biologists and clinicians in the development of Advanced Functional Polymers for Medicine. The current status, challenges and requirements for future developments of polymers for medicine will be presented by leading experts. The conference, therefore, provides an outstanding opportunity to help young scientists in their career development and offers them an interdisciplinary discussion forum within an exclusive circle. The AFPM 2018 conference will offer delegates innovative and stimulating topics with a well-balanced programme of invited speakers and poster presentations.
Montpellier is an ideal place for our gathering. With approximately 60000 students, Montpellier is a vibrant university city located on the Mediterranean coast in the South of France. Established in 1289, the University of Montpellier is one of the oldest in the world, with the renowned Faculty of Medicine being the world’s oldest medical school still in operation. The historical centre Écusson, with its maze of old alleyways and narrow streets, is packed with elegant town houses, trendy stores and plenty of bars and restaurants. Be sure to find a moment after the scientific sessions to ‘get lost’ during your exploration of Montpellier and enjoy a drink on one of the many terraces under the Mediterranean sun, with temperatures in May being almost always pleasant and mild.
