The 3 major challenges (Feed, Protect, Care) structure a vision whose scientific and international dimensions are closely linked. This brings us to specify an international strategy whose ambition and policies are based on a partnership network and specific tools. In close connection with the chosen scientific policy, the international ambition is justified and built on:
- Montpellier’s unique scientific density in the fields of agriculture, health and environment;
- The presence of numerous foreign and international institutions in Montpellier (including CGIAR, EMBRAPA, INTA, CSIRO, University of Putra Malaysia, and more)
- The legacy, know-how and potential of MUSE member institutions that are dedicated to international activities: CIRAD, CIHEAM and IRD, whose agents are present in and welcome scientists from over a hundred countries around the world.
